DESCEND VIA 란?

Pilots navigating on, or navigating a published route inbound to, a STAR procedure must maintain last assigned altitude until receiving authorization to descend so as to comply with all published/issued restrictions. This authorization will contain the phraseology “DESCEND VIA.” If vectored or cleared to deviate off a STAR, pilots must consider the STAR canceled, unless the controller adds “expect to resume STAR”; pilots should then be prepared to rejoin the STAR at a subsequent fix or procedure leg. If a descent clearance has been received that included a crossing restriction, pilots should expect the controller to issue an altitude to maintain. If the STAR contains published altitude and/or speed restrictions, those restrictions are canceled and pilots will receive an altitude to maintain and, if necessary, a speed.
* STAR 절차로 향하는 조종사는 공표/발행된 모든 제한 사항을 준수하기 위해 하강 허가를 받을 때까지 마지막으로 할당된 고도를 유지해야 합니다.
* 이 허가는 "DESCEND VIA"라는 문구가 포함됩니다. STAR를 벗어나도록 벡터를 받거나 해제된 경우, 컨트롤러가 "STAR 재개 예상"을 추가하지 않는 한 조종사는 STAR가 취소된 것으로 간주해야 합니다.

a. Clearance to “descend via” authorizes pilots to:
1. Descend at pilot's discretion to meet published restrictions and laterally navigate on a STAR.
2. When cleared to a waypoint depicted on a STAR, to descend from a previously assigned altitude at pilot's discretion to the altitude depicted at that waypoint.
3. Once established on the depicted arrival, to descend and to meet all published or assigned altitude and/or speed restrictions.


"DESCEND VIA" 허가받은 조종사는 다음을 수행할 수 있습니다.
1. 공시된 제한을 충족하고 STAR를 횡적으로 따라가기 위해 조종사의 임의대로 하강할 수 있습니다.
2. STAR에 표시된 waypoint로 인가받으면 조종사의 재량에 따라 이전에 할당된 고도에서 해당 waypoint에 표시된 고도로 하강합니다.
3. 표시된 ARRIVAL ROUTE에 진입하면, 하강하고 할당된 모든 고도 및/또는 속도 제한을 충족합니다.
